DID YOU KNOW:  Battle Cry of Freedom was so popular in 1862 that 14 printing presses couldn't keep up with the demand for the song!  (Even the Confederacy adapted it.)  "Freedom" refers to abolition of slavery.

DID YOU KNOW:  Ives thought countries should be abolished.  Instead, we would have a "People's World Union".  He proposed his idea in a letter to President Theodore Roosevelt but nothing came of it.
