Beginner Violin Class at Susquehanna University!
For grades K-5, this is a great way to get started on violin!
Students will learn with college violinist helpers enrolled in our pedagogy course.

$100 for full semester (plus materials, see below)
Students will receive personal attention while still feeling like they're part of a group!
"Graduates" of this class will be offered private violin instruction in future semesters.
1. Violin & Bow: We recommend renting from JR Judd in Williamsport.
(Staff will measure student to get the correct size.)
2. Shoulder rest: You'll need a firm but contoured rest such as the "Kun" brand. JRJudd has these for purchase, or you can shop HERE.
3. Song booklet (Beginner curriculum compiled by Jennifer Sacher Wiley, nationally-recognized "pre-Twinkle" songs)

Dr. Wiley has been performing and teaching students of all ages for over 30 years. She is the violin professor at Susquehanna University, leads a pre-college studio of a dozen students ages 7-17, and is the Music Director & Conductor of the West Shore Symphony Orchestra.
